Television Service
Sinai Hospital is happy to provide all of our patients with free local television service. If you would like to watch additional stations, there is an $7 a day fee that is assessed. Credit card and cash are the options of payment.
Telephone Service
Local telephone service for all patients is free of charge by dialing 9 and the phone number. If you would like to make a long distance call, simply press 0 and you will be connected to one of our operators, who will be happy to assist you. Long distance calls may be billed to your home phone, a calling card or by calling collect. To respect your privacy, your phone number will be kept private. Only you or your family members will release that phone number to people outside of the hospital. Once the number has been provided, friends and family may call you by dialing 410-601 and the four-digit extension number. Because you need your rest, we ask that your friends and family call only during the hours of 7 a.m. to10 p.m.
Patient Food
While you are staying with us, your doctor will prescribe food guidelines and a diet. Meals are served from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.; 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; and 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. You will be given a menu to select items you enjoy eating. If the items on the present menu are not satisfactory, you may ask to see an alternate menu called “Or You May Prefer.” A kosher diet is available upon request. If you have any questions about the food or your dietary needs, please feel free to ask your host or hostess from Food and Nutrition Services.
