Alan Levine, M.D.
Teddy bears. So many of us had
one as a child. So, what’s a grown man doing with one? If it’s Dr.
Alan Levine, he’s probably using
it to show a child how he’s going to straighten the curve in their spine. As an orthopedic surgeon at Sinai Hospital, Alan is used to mending broken bones and correcting curvature of the spine. He began making teddy bears as a hobby,
but soon found himself operating
on one of his own bears. With instrumentation similar to that used to treat scoliosis, the Scoli-Bear
helps Alan explain the operation to his young patients. Dr. Alan Levine is one of the many wonderful people who care for our patients. If you’re like Alan and would like to join the LifeBridge Health family, visit us atwww.lifejobs.org. LifeBridge Health. The freedom to make a difference.

The Eden Alternative
No words are spoken, yet all is understood. This is a language
where the gentle purr of a contented cat or the vigorous wagging tail of an excited dog says it all to residents of Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center
and Hospital. You can feel the unconditional love. These furry friends wander the halls, play with residents and live at Levindale as
part of a program called the Eden Alternative, a program that cherishes the moments that make life worth living. If you’re someone who wants to share your joy with others and would like to join the LifeBridge Health family, visit us at www.lifejobs.org. LifeBridge Health. The freedom to comfort.
