The ET Nurse, (CWOCN), provides inpatient consults to hospital staff to effectively manage patients with wounds, ostomies, and incontience. The WOCN is the recognized expert in his/her field.
Requirements: Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor's degree; Must be BSN prepared. Working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field; 3-5 years experience; Should have one year experience as a Wound, Osotomy, Continence Specialist; Microsoft Office Suite; Basic computer skills; Cerner; Synquest; Medical terminology; Critical thinking skills; Medical equipment; Maryland Registered Nurse License; American Heart Association CPR Card; C.W.O.C.N. Certification preferred, with either C.W.C.N. or W.O.C.N. requried.
