Under moderate supervision, coordinates care and performs direct care for an assigned group of patients. Major duties include assessing and treating patient according to Plan of Care; teaching, monitoring status, and planning for discharge of patient; documenting interventions; and performance improvement. Serves as an advisor, resource, preceptor and leader for other members of the Patient Care team in the performance of all nursing functions.
Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. One (1) year experience as an RN in an acute care setting. Provides safe, age-appropriate patient care and function as advisor, resource, for patients and their families as members of the patient care team. Licensed as an RN in the State of Maryland. Must have current CPR Healthcare Provider or CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification. Neuro experience preferred. Must have good communication, interpersonal, time management, clinical, teaching, and organizational skills. Must successfully complete Hospital Orientation/Training program.
