The Wound, Ostomy, Continence Specialist (WOCS) works under limited supervision, and is responsible for the indirect and direct care of patients with wounds, ostomy, or continence needs. The WOCS nurse is responsible for providing overall direction for the development, review, and revision of policies and procedures on wound and ostomy management.
Requirements: Current Maryland RN License and CPR Certification. BSN preferred. W.O.C.N. certification required. Minimum one-year experience in field, along with a minimum of 3-years RN experience in an Acute Care setting required. Excellent customer service skills are required.
