Under limited supervision, implements educational programs and provides in-unit support and supervision for Hospital staff in the process of role training and specific skill practice. As part of a team, supports Hospital-wide education programs in addition to specialty-based initiatives. This position is for Perioperative Services, with a primary base at Northwest Hospital.
Requirements: Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor's degree; working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field; Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN); Maryland Registered Nurse License; CPR Certification; May have specialty certification, not required; Nursing Process skills based on MD Nurse Practice Act; Presentation skills using a variety of methods; AORN; Basic computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite, Cerner, Synquest; Standard Office Equipment; Medical terminology; Critical thinking skills; Medical equipment; Demonstration and validation of skills. Three to five (3-5) years of experience. OR experience preferred.
