- Bachelor's Degree is required
Evaluates patients, plans, and administers patient treatments with chronic pain to restore or improve function, based on physician referral. Works with a dynamic team including physiatry, psychology, occupational therapy and vocational services. Provides professional care in accordance with APTA standards and Maryland State Board of Examiners scope of practice.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree; working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field; highly preferred specialization is in the management of individuals with chronic pain, including work hardening. CPR Certification; Maryland Physical Therapy licensure; Basic computer skills; Medical terminology; Medical equipment. One year of experience in chronic pain and familiarity with the behavioral model approach to managing pain is highly preferred.
