Job Details: |
With ability to work independently, under limited supervision, performs moderate and high complexity clinical laboratory tests in one or more of the following disciplines; blood bank, serology and blood gas; utilizes manual and automated procedures. Uses and maintains equipment, reagents and supplies; demonstrates computer skills; deals with pre-analytical problems; and performs required calibration and quality control. Communicates intra and interdepartmentally, demonstrating knowledge of testing principles and procedures; may act as a resource person. Requirements: Medical Technologist (MT), ASCP registered, eligible, or equivalent with two years of generalist experience. Experience and education requirements are based on the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), Board of Registry, Certification Examination Eligibility Requirements. BSMT (ASCP) with five years of generalist experience including Blood Bank. Team player, knowledge of Cerner millenium a plus. Candidate will work every other weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation.
