Administers and maintains the Materials Management Information System (MMIS) to support the department�s operations and goals. Ensures data integrity through frequent maintenance. Works with the Information Systems department concerning the MMIS. Uses automated analysis tools and batch data uploads to maintain a 50,000 item database to support the following hospital functions: on-line requisition system, contracts, electronic data interchange (EDI) with suppliers, inventory counts and transactions (via PC�s and PDA�s), OR system, patient charges, GL, and AP. Develops procedures and trains employees to use MMIS tools to support operations. Performs both routine and ad hoc data extraction, analysis, and reporting to management. Must be skilled in analysis, problem-solving, and communication. Requires proficiency with Windows, MS Office, and database report-writers. Lawson experience preferred but not required.
Requirements: Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor's degree; working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field; BS in Business or Information Systems or equivalent. Two (2) years as a systems manager or database administrator for a computerized materials management system; Five (5) years working in Access [or database equivalent] and Excel environment. Microsoft Office Suite, Basic computer skills, Standard Office Equipment, Database and reporting software, Lawson ERP, MS Add-ins for Lawson, Microsoft and Lawson patches. Five to seven years of experience.
