The Manager, Volunteers� responsibilities require an experienced professional skilled in multi-tasking! The position�s responsibilities include managing our dedicated volunteers, responding to the needs of the hospital, and insuring that all requirements, from Performance Evaluations to applicable JCAHO regulations, are met. With minimal supervision, the Manager is responsible for the administration, growth, assessment and image of the Volunteer Services Department. Recruits and retains high-caliber volunteers to serve the hospital. Manages staff of 150-200 volunteers to insure they are matched to the right assignment.
This highly visible position requires a Bachelor's degree, and five to seven years of experience. Must be able to represent the Hospital at various community functions. Requires the ability to prioritize, self-direct and implement strategic goals. Must be computer literate, be comfortable dealing with deadlines and multiple priorities, and interested in the skills, needs and retention of the volunteer staff. On occasion, may be required to attend social functions during the evenings or on Sundays.
