The Laboratory Technician receives and processes patients' specimens (blood, urine, spinal and other fluids) for laboratory testing.

Requirements: Experience and education requirements are based on American Society or Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), Board of Registry, Certification Examination Eligibility Requirements. Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), ASCP registered, eligible or equivalent. MLT (ASCP) preferred.  High school graduate with some college - biology/chemistry preferred.  Excellent customer service skills; Knowledge of Cerner computer system a plus; Lab experience preferred.
