The Associate Vice President - Surgical Services, in collaboration with other members of the Sinai Hospital senior management team, directs the continuing development and implementation of patient care services at Sinai Hospital. Employs a global perspective of emerging trends, issues, and technology in health care; and an understanding of the Hospital mission and goals to direct the strategic planning, organization, management, service delivery, quality improvement and evaluation of multiple patient care units. Is responsible for ensuring the delivery of the highest quality, most efficient, and cost effective patient care possible in compliance with Hospital policies and regulatory guidelines. Directs as appropriate and participates in marketing Hospital programs and services. Possesses well-developed written, verbal, and formal presentation skills and a good blend of clinical, analytical, interpersonal and business skills.
Requirements: Ten (10) years recent, progressive nursing experience including at least three (3) years management experience, preferably at the Director or AVP level in a similar-sized organization. A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing and a Master�s Degree in Nursing, Business Management, Education or related field required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, and licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Maryland. Must have completed CPR Health Care Provider or CPR for the Professional Rescuer course.
