- Graduate of Approved/Certified Program

As a member of the surgical team, provides technical assistance to the surgeon/physician during surgical intervention under the supervision of the RN. When not directly assisting the physician in a procedure, may participate in the rendering of patient care under the direction of the Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse or Registered Nurse.

Requirements: Entry level knowledge; basic employment skills; High School diploma or GED equivalent; One to three (1-3) years of experience. Accredited Surgical Technology Course Certificate; Surgical Technologist Certification preferred; Basic computer skills, Hospital computer systems, Synquest, Medical terminology, Surgical equipment and instruments.
